not mine. i know i'm supposed to only want good thing for ryan and i do but i'm not worried, he's going to kill it. maybe he will be sent up to the big show in november but i'm only human and after covering politics for years, sometimes a girl just wants a long, slow, deep, soft, wet kiss that lasts three days. so come on joe crash biden, this might be your last chance to do it your way. show me and meat how it's done in the bigs. go out with a bang. martin, it's all yours. >> i'm not sure we could take much more of that s.e., but thank you so much. good afternoon. it's tuesday, october 9th, and this race is tighter than a snare drum, so let's hit it. >>> four weeks to go. >> iowa is going to help elect me the next president of the united states. >> that's what's at stake in the next 29 days. that's why i'm running for a second term as president. >> four weeks to set the record straight. >> suddenly a guy pretending to be mitt romney stood on a stage next to me. what $5 trillion tax cut? i don't know anything about a $5 trillion tax cut. >> we are going to win this. we're taking
versus ryan. if you're advising the vice president, because he's got a lot of ground work to make up for it here out of that first debate for their ticket, what do you tell him? >> i'd say to joe biden, be yourself, because biden has a unique way of bringing reality into these very substantive conversations. and i'll use big bird as an example, and we're sort of making a joke, and yes, it gives people laughter, but there's something very serious about this issue. i mean, the "sesame street" programming, pbs programming has been in -- i worked in education for a number of years -- the gold standard, not just here in the united states, around the world, recognized as a gold standard in children's education. at a time when kids in our country, not enough of them can actually read proficiently, what sense does it make to cut? i mean, we're not going to balance that $5 trillion hole by getting rid of big bird. that's what i think part of reminding people about big bird does, how ridiculous the rhetoric from the romney/ryan campaign is, but also the idea that, so, you're going to cut somet

that the cuts in medicaid that have been proposed in the ryan plan has affected a lot of the races. because as families in america, we try to take care of our parents. that effects moms. i think that effects women really a lot. they see that and they say, i'm not for that. am i wrong on that? >> as much as we've been talking about women's issues, in a lot of the races, what these women are running on is, like you said, economic populism. it's the core of elizabeth warren's message. it's the core of the message in north dakota. so in a sense, economic populism shades over into women's issues because women end up being the person in charge of caring for ailing fam members, being the person in charge of health care for their children. so they know very viscerally what it would mean to lose medicaid which is paying for the nursing home of, you know, of their ageing parents. >> it doesn't sit well. >> in my column i talked about after the debate, for all of the bad news, the one thing i notice if you counted how many times the president said education and health care, women voters are more likel
